A Few Pictures

It's been a rough 10 weeks, and it's time to post a few pictures.

Our Ryan (Kyle) a couple of years ago.

Ryan (Kyle), his girlfriend, EJ, and his little sister. He was so good with his sisters, the greatest big brother they could ever want.

Ryan (Kyle) and Mom.

It's been a bitch, but everyone is making it through each day. I may do another post in the future about some of the support resources we found.

I don't know what stage of your recovery you're in, but showing others a path, showing them the resources available or talking about the ones which should be available, might be a good way to move your recovery forward...

One day at a time, Jon.

Thanks everyone, I've made some good friends here, and the thoughts and prayers have helped.

SL - I am doing pretty well, all things considered. For stages, they come and go, in no particular order. It's difficult when different people in the family are in different stages - denial and acceptance are pretty much incompatible.

I just can't continue on with this blog. I started a new blog, a journal might be more a accurate description. I wanted a personal outlet, and a clean break from the past world. I jot partial notes and thoughts, and feelings. I don't try to make sense, I just write. But for now, it's just going to be a personal outlet. I can't handle the thought of trying to inform or entertain.

Dear Jon,

There really is not a day I do not think of you and your family, and I'm glad to see an update here from you. I think writing a personal journal is a good idea, as anything to help cope. ((HUGS)) to all of you, many many hugs.

Jon-
You've been in my thoughts a great deal the last few days. Don't know why, but please know you are far from forgotten. I believe that we are sometimes led to say something, and this is one of those times.

I love your blog about your son and I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know why but it really spoke to me as my son is very much like yours. Your blog inspired me to start mine. Yours is the only bipolar son blog that really spoke to me and made me think...that is my son too. Thanks for keeping it up and for sharing it with us readers.
