This HAS to be the result of lowering my med dosage. I woke up this morning and could barely drag myself out of bed. I dragged myself to the gym in order to not impact my routine too much (routine = healthy, lack of routine = trouble), but could hardly do anything. It dawned on me that a depression was setting in.

Can you believe this? From true mania to depression in 2 days. Let's roll the dice and see what tomorrow brings. As fast as my moods have been changing I'll bet my next paycheck it's not depression. I've always cycled rapidly, but this is ridiculous.

I've read that the higher the mania, the bigger the crash. At least you are aware of what's going on. Please take it easy. I hope "normal" shows it's face soon.

Yup! it was a crash that is for sure... Hope you are feeling better!

Have you ever thought about neurofeedback--it stopped the roller coaster riding for me within 5 weeks. It's tricky to find someone who really knows what they are doing, but I swear by it. As you know, I've since added other alternatives and am coming off my meds, but it was the neurofeedback that put me on the road to recovery.

I hope you feel better soon. I know what it feels like.

Jane - thanks for stopping by. Normal? Normal's for everyone else.

DW - what's funny is that I didn't feel the impact of a crash, it was just there the next day. Then the day after that, gone.

Gianna - I'm going to do some research on that. Thanks for bringing up the topic.
