The Personality Test

A company I interviewed with a week ago contacted me yesterday and asked me to take a personality profile test. What are you going to say? "Thanks for allowing me to take this next step!" These things are useless for me. My results change from day to day, and even from hour to hour. Could anyone with bipolar disorder take one of these consistently? Just once, wouldn't it be fun to ask which personality they want me to use?

I have to agree with you on the personality tests asessments. But, they can be fun to do. Grin and bear it.

That's too funny! It really DOES depend on the mood, doesn't it? I always wonder what's "normal". Chances are, being bipolar, you'll be found to be the "bubbly, outgoing" person who's an idealist that companies salivate to hire. :-) Just guessing here, I don't know what your job responsibilites will be, but whatever they are, we're the kind of people that they *think* they want, anyway!

Hilarious, Jon. Totally get that!

I hope your best personality shines in the interview. Good luck!

Smythe - I agree, although this one had 130 multiple choice questions and a dozen written questions.

KS - I won't get it. I have a good rapport, and I'm what they're looking for. But selling a business at a HUGE loss a few years ago, and a series of uninsured medical issues over the last few years means our credit isn't real good. This is a financial institution, so I'm pretty much dead in the water.

Thanks Cristina. It's reassuring to get this far, but as mentioned earlier it won't happen. An interesting process, though.

Our moods may be different, but we still have the SAME personality.

It is amazing how many people confuse a Mood Disorder with a Personality Disorder.

Totally two different things.

*laughing*

that's why i make up my personality every single time i have to take the test. it's more of a game for me that way instead of an annoyance.

DW - You have a bit of a mania going on, huh?

Gen - I could take one of those every day and not score the same way twice, depending on my frame of mind at the time.
