Depression Hanging Tough

Damn depression is hanging in there. I've only worked out a few times in the last 2 months, and work is difficult. I have to kick this shit.

Jon - I'm so sorry! Have you been to your doctor since it's lasted about 2 months (I'm guessing?)? Remember, as I know you do, it's only temporary. Last time I got REALLY REALLY depressed (a few months ago), I went to my pdoc and he doubled my Abilify, and darned if I wasn't feeling "okay" within 2 or 3 DAYS, and have been stable since. Now I realize these "results are not typical", but I hate to see you suffer if it's needlessly?

You're in my thoughts...

seeing kansassun comment...The last psychiatrist blog has a few collums on the maximum saturation levels of psychiatric drugs.
Hang in there Jon. You are not alone. Others are feeling down as well, may be due to the change of season and drop in sunlight hours.

Thanks all for your comments. I know some of you are in no better shape than I right now.

KS - I was just hired on from my consulting gig a few months ago, and I'm still not eligible for insurance. But I have an appointment in a month when I am eligible.

Mark - Yeah, I don't know what he is going to do to help, I doubt he'll talk me into any new meds. I REALLY don't want to add more.

Thanks, Jane. I appreciate it.

DW - thanks also. I appreciate you stopping by.

I agree i think its the seasonal thing. but in any case its not easy, that we know. so in a way we then can rely on how we know it passes, if that makes sense. ive also done a meds tweak and feel good--and have been able to maintain my constant stress! which is a miracle in itself.
hang in there

Merelyme - thanks for stopping by! I've bookmarked you, so I'll stop by from time to time.

Thanks Stephany, it's getting better, which is probably evident as I'm catching up on comments. Hope your good frame of mind continues.

I increased my Lamictal [after consult w pdoc] by 25mg. who the heck can ever say whether it's the meds or"me", but ive felt a LOT better. Lamictal has antidepressant qualities.I'm still at a relatively low and conservative dose. i also FORCE myself to get up, dressed and outside every single day, even this last several days, as I recover from my 12 hr long court battle days. i know if i dont move, i wont move. ya know?
so today, for instance i went on a small drive, ran the dog around, and swept the floor. hey whatever works. and we all know what comes next right? that mania! im making sure to eat, not skip meals, and keep stimuli to a minimum--music, computer, tv...its an either or, or nothing at all. i really find it a good thing to balance all of that alongside meds is how it works best for me at least. sorry im sure this was too long.
