Website Update

No sooner do I make up my mind to tackle the bipolar web site, a few other things come up. First, I get a paying design and hosting job. Web hosting, and to a lesser extent web design, are "third jobs" for me. I also design custom forms for businesses, but most of that I turn away as I just don't have the time. Most of the web design work I turn away also, although I sometimes agree to do design to get a hosting contract. Well, a job I quoted almost a year ago came through. So that's nice (I guess).

Next, Karen finally agrees to begin "the book". We have talked for many years about writing a book, but we can't commit. I finally approached it from a "project" point of view, we had our kick-off meeting, and we're underway. Underway means beginning the preliminary steps, and getting organized, but it's a start. We meet every week for planning and update meetings.

I'm still committed to the new website, but it's going to take the back burner for a little while. I hope I don't go all bipolar on the concept and leave it halfway started. That would be SO me.

Congrats on the motivation to tackle all of the projects. I think the website is a great idea. And glad that your mother-in-law is doing a bit better.

Advice: don't undertake a bunch at once. When you start to slip, you'll just crashburngiveup. One thing at a time and prioritize. Is there a big fat hurry, I always ask myself.

I like nilla's advice. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Of course you know yourself & what you can handle. I'm glad things are coming along well for you :-)

I wanted to write a book once - about my life - I started too, but found my past so overwhelming that I had to stop.

I try to clean 3 rooms of the house at the same time and then give up so if you can do all of those big ol projects at once you must be a superhero!!!!

The votes of confidence keep rolling in... ;-)

For the book, I let Karen drive the pace. Because my memory is not as good, she drives the content, and I write it based on her thoughts and outlines. So far, so good.

On the bipolar website, that is progressing slowly. It's third in my priorities right now.

Ooh look! SPAM!!

Yeah - I deleted that spam. I don't use the blogger letter identification spam-buster, but I'm wondering if I should start. I just want to make this as accessible as possible.

This is the 2nd blog I've read about 1/2 way committed and that is so me. Is it a bipolar thing? I've got so many creative ideas stuck in my head, but they're just that: STUCK! It's like I'm paralyzed with lack of knowledge & fear. I hope you keep putting 1 foot in front of the other.

Oooh, yeah 1/2 way ideas are a bi-polar thing. At the moment I was to start a magazine, write another book, and clean my house. Right.

Hi people (and Jon, I mean, this is your site),
I didn't have anywhere else to stick this question, so here we go. Long story short, and it is long: the doc is suggesting a change to Depakote, along with the Lithium I already take. Sounds a bit like overkill to me. I've never taken Depakote though, how about you guys?
